Our Story

Reedman Law is a Vancouver-based boutique law firm specializing in bankruptcy, insolvency, financial disputes, and commercial and estate/trust litigation. Founded by Cody G. Reedman, the firm is trusted by business owners, directors, Licensed Insolvency Trustee, and individuals facing financial challenges or disputes.
Cody’s passion for insolvency law and financial investigations was inspired early in life by investigative reporting on corporate misconduct and white-collar crime. Today, that interest translates into advocacy and problem solving for clients navigating insolvency, corporate restructuring, and debtor-creditor disputes.
Cody launched his legal career articling under respected insolvency lawyer Murray K. Morrison, before gaining experience as an associate at several firms across the Greater Vancouver Area. As the sole litigator at a seven-lawyer firm, he quickly learned to manage complex cases independently.

Recognizing his passion for insolvency and white-collar financial disputes, Cody refined his focus exclusively to bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, and commercial litigation. He later served as Associate Counsel at Coal Harbour Law and further specialized by completing the BCIT Forensic Investigation of Fraud and Financial Crime program.

In 2018, Cody took the next step: founding Reedman Law. From a small office behind a solicitors' firm near Lonsdale Quay, the firm grew quickly, moving in 2019 to downtown Vancouver’s Burrard Building. Reedman Law invested heavily in technology and remote capability to serve clients with precision and efficiency.

Between 2020 and 2025, Reedman Law has mentored five articling students and two summer students, offering rare exposure to insolvency and financial dispute law. What began as a sole practitioner’s vision has evolved into a client-focused firm known for its advocacy, creativity in solving complex legal issues, technical excellence, and commitment to integrity, growth mindsets, intellectual curiosity, and client success.
